SPANISH LANGUAGE DANCE PARTY DRAWS A CROWD APOLLO SIM - Salsa music and Spanish speakers filled the Lost Garden in Apollo on Monday. It's not the first event tailored to a Spanish speaking audience, and according to event hostess Carmela Miranda, it won't be the last. There are 6 groups for Spanish speakers in Second Life, with the largest, Segunda Vida, leading the pack with 144 members. Miranda reports this is double the number a month ago, and she attributes the growth to newspaper articles bringing in new residents. As for the status of Spanish on the grid, she adds "It's very strange that being the thirrd language of world speakers there is still no forum in Spanish...We need help guides in Spanish. If people don't understand, they leave the game." Miranda adds that Second Life is a great way to share cultures, music, and languages.
