Land search...

Ok, I'm new to this and would like any help or direction anyone can give. I've been online gaming on my PS2 and now PS3 for a few years now with my clan and am looking to bring a presence on SL so we can have a place to meet up and discuss our tourneys and game strats. I thought this would be an awesome way to start something. I'm looking for a piece of land that I can build a military style compound for us to all to meet up in.

My clan already has a web presence; http://www.shadowops.org But like I said just want to get something going here for meet ups. I was thinking a 1024 plot would be enough and just wanted to know how, who and what I need to do to accomplish this. I'm looking to spend 4 to 12 USD$$$ a month. Any help would be appreciated and please know that I am reading all I can... so I'm not looking for anyone to do everything for me. LOL Just need a little help.
