I couldn't find any previous posts about meeting up in DC during the Serious Games Summit, so I'm starting this thread. If there is a thread, please point me to it.
Anyone want to try to get together with Robin and Pathfinder while they are in DC for the Serious Games Summit? I gather that they would be up for it. It looks like the summit is in Crystal City, so maybe we could all meet somewhere near there for drinks.
EDIT: Ok, we're on for Tuesday, Nov. 1, 8 PM at McFadden's near Washington Circle. Looks like the Foggy Bottom Orange Line station is the closest. See Pathfinder's post below for more info.

Well, somewhere within cab distance of the conference hotel would be ideal for Robin and myself: Crystal Gateway Marriott 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway Arlington, VA 22202 USA As for other criteria, I'd say any kind of place that everyone would feel comfortable hanging out in to relax, have some drinks, and just get to know each other. _____________________

The only place I'm familiar with is the Crystal City Sports Pub, which is conducive to hanging out and drinking. According to the WP there's also an Irish Pub nearby.

Just a reminder...
We're still on for Tuesday, Nov. 1, 8 PM at McFadden's near Washington Circle. We won't have a reserved table, so just look for the shaved-head guy with a beard and wearing a red nametag - that will be Pathfinder. If anyone wants to be the DC area organizer for future meet-ups, let Pathfinder know and he will hand over the reins to the "Washington DC Second Life Meetup Group" (see the previous post). I'll be moving out of the area in a week or so, otherwise I'd take over. _____________________
