Would like to find out how many SL players are from Virginia. In particular the central VA area. I'm near Charlottsville. Maybe we could get together sometime.

Ok that's one. With over 80,000 ppl registed on SL you would think there would be more ppl in Va other than Joey and me. Let's hear form you.

Zoey I'm usually on line between 9pm to 1am est most nights. Do a search for me and will chat some time.

Allen

I just moved to the D.C. area. Would love to meet up with other peeps in VA!

If we do it near or in D.C. we can do another D.C. meetup or at least bring those folks to our meetup.

Since most of the VA SL members are near DC may I sugguest the National Zoo as a meating place for them? Think about it some.

I'll have to see where Ladysmith is.

I've never been to the zoo. Is there someplace there inside and warm? Does it serve drinks?

The Zoo as a "meating" place! a hahahaha!

To answer Satchmo, no there's not really a lot of places to warm up at the National Zoo, pretty awful food, and no drinky drinks. There are some nice places to hang out not too far from the Zoo, tho, but it's been a few years since I was in any of them and I can't remember their names.

How about a happy hour some place in DC or Arlington some Friday night after the holidays?

Well I’m not familiar with D.C. and you do have a point about the food at the Zoo. A place where parking is good or there is close access to the Metro rail would be good. For the distance I have to travel Saturdays work best. I could not do Friday or Sunday nights. Of course the majority wins out as to where, when or if we should meet.

As of this post this makes 10 ppl.

I'm leaving town for the Holidays, but I'll be back on New Years. I'm sure others are super busy around this time of the year, so lets arrange for a meeting in January? I'm in NY on the weekend of the 21st, but I'll be in the area every other Saturday of the month. Anyway got a preference for which Saturday we should meet in January?

We don’t have to hold one so soon. We could wait until the last Saturday of February and make our gathering a Mardi Gras event. This would give everyone plenty of time to prepare. Unless you plan to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, which might be cheap this year to attract tourist for some badly needed commerce. Just throwing out a thought at to when we could have one.

YAY! Virginia

As much as I would like to travel from the Hampton Roads region to Northern Virginia to see you some of you guys, I'm afraid I can't. You see, I'm a student which means I am almost always broke. But it's really nice to see that people from Virginia are here in Second Life.

Also in the Arlington area...

BTW, the Zoo may not be an optimal location, but the ZOO BAR (across Connecticutt Ave entrance) certainly is. Nobody knows what the REAL name of the bar is, it just says "Cocktails" over the door and we have called it that from imemmorial...
