Believe it or not, there's a gal in Sweden who's getting her Real Life PhD studying virtual world communities, with a couple chapters devoted to Nekos in Second Life.
From now through the end of the year, she'll be conducting in-world interviews with as many Nekos as she can, to try to understand what makes the Neko community special... our similarities and our differences... our varying opinions, roots, and perspectives... so she can form a thorough, objective real life report.
