Hello, The latest issue of Metaverse Messenger has a review of the recent RL UK Community meet. You can download it from this link here: http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=E6BB8BC1607CE0E9I thought it might be interesting to see if there was any interest from local Japan residents to see if there was any interest in working towards a Tokyo meetup...however small. Please post you comments, opinions or thoughts. Take care, KT

Hey Komuso-san, how's it going? A RL meetup sounds a great idea but hey, I don't think too many people come to these forums, read posts written in English AND reply in English. You might want to advertise this thread a bit in Togenkyo or SL Japan group IM for it to get moving I bet Percy would be interested, he speaks Japanese amazingly well. I guess Japanese in general enjoys the anonymity but some of the JP SLers did have a meetup in Tokyo last summer, but then again they had been friends from other MMOs. Anyhoo, we call such meetups 「オフ会」(off-kai), meaning offline meetings. Just so you know.

From: Chie Salome You might want to advertise this thread a bit in Togenkyo or SL Japan group IM for it to get moving I bet Percy would be interested, he speaks Japanese amazingly well. Ah well, I did this but Percy seemed to think I was spamming the SL Japan group with my conversation and kindly suggested I leave and post here. Unfortunately I'm still in early learning Japanese phase so will spare you my broken japanese as a courtesy There is, at least apparent to me, a growing trend of people using SL for serious games purposes who are not too concerned about mixing their RL/SL identities. I imagine maybe there are not too many of these at the moment in Japan SL, but perhaps it will grow. I work with a number of people in SL now who have no problem with mixing identities. http://seriousgamessource.com/features/feature_041806_sg_japan.php has some info on the state of this market for japan. Thiings have to start somewhere, and even two people constitute a meetup, imo Just a suggestion, anyway. If you know of anyone in SL Japan interested in this please forward the info on, or even bounce the ideas around yourself. Domo, KT
