I am working on a project to combine the advantages of web learning with the capabilities of Second Life. The initial developments will be relevant to skills in Second Life.
My website offers instructional units on topics similar to those covered in some classes now offered in Second Life. I use these presentation methods;

Voice Over Instruction on the website.
Inworld objects that support the instruction. The website carries a Slurl to it and the object carries a notecard or message with link to the websiite.
Video Stories. Videos derived from the presentation, posted on YouTube and linked from the web page.
