Yes we study the metaverse too! My students are fascinated, and I suspect that they are on SL more than they are studying for class.

Years ago while still on Anarchy Online,
I discovered this project doing own research :)

Actually a nice accumulation of empirical data,
of special interest to me,
since it offers by now a good view over
the *historical* development
of the different games/microcultures
as well as the genre/subculture as a whole.

Your assumption is not correct, I am not familiar with this project. I participate in SL for pleasure not research. I am a feminist qualitative sociologist and my academic interest are in family, gender and race studies. However this whole Daedalus Project is alluring. A great site, I am sure I will be digesting it this evening.
