Hylee,

The applications for Mentor roles (including the new Greeter role) are currently closed. We've been told that they will be re-opened soon, possibly in February. Please check back frequently on this link: http://secondlife.com/community/volunteer.php

If you want to help newcomers and can't wait, there are several in world help groups run by residents. One that I'm familiar with is the Help People! group headed up by Brett DuMont.

Hylee,

If you want to help newcomers and can't wait, there are several in world help groups run by residents. One that I'm familiar with is the Help People! group headed up by Brett Alexander.

The Hobo Helpers are another group organized to help Newcomers. This is open enrollment, free, and we have an easy join route for newcomers: our posters give a chat link to the group join page so that newcomers can find us without going through search. Join posters are available at Cookie ( 143, 110, 21 ) and at the Hobo Infohub. (Calleta).
