1. Folders with landmarks divided into different categories, for example:

A folder with landmarks to educational places
A folder with landmarks to unsafe land and battle friendly places
A folder with landmarks to free item places
A folder with landmarks to gardens & wild life areas

etc. I find that as a mentor I've saved some time by organizing the landmarks this way and tend to drop a folder on someone based on their interests.

I believe that Brace Coral has a New Person Kit that she has put together and perhaps you can include that and save some time too.

2. I was considering writing up a note card with url's to the SL forums (which many new people don't even know about) and to the other blogs and forums about SL.

3. A list of url's that stream music.

4. A list of some of the larger and newbie friendly groups, as well as charitable groups in SL and what they stand for. I haven't had a chance to compile this yet, but I'm asked a lot of questions about different groups in SL.

Here is what I include in mine:

Folder 1) Misc free clothing items (incl shoes and some jewelry for the girls)
Folder 2) 4 free dance animations (so they can dance at clubs easily)

Notecards:

Building 101 instructions
Tips and Hints for newbies
about Land
All existing notecards of Pathfinders Picks

I also throw in some misc items for fun, like sunglasses and sparklers.
