I have 4 FREE, modest places for newbies to stay for 4 weeks; some orientation would be offered also.

HI there, I am a newbie, starting today! Are you still offering help and orientation? I don't know where to begin, but I have some good business ideas.

AS a newbie - First welcome to this wonderfull odd strange place.. Second Life!!
Second as a newbie I should visit (search in find) the GNUbie store and look at AL well made freebies that are in it...
Next I should tp to the Ivory Tower and have a look about AL prims that we use to design/build al things. And get a clue how they are used.. Not that you shall start at once but to get a clue..
Next I should take my time to visit a NEW place everytime i log on... Visist a new sim.. tp to it and have a look around.
I should of course also use the find - put in my favorite words..
IF I had an account that allow me to get ”first land” I should take my time to look around to find one - and DONT be in hurry.. tp around and look after that wil make you see more of SL..
Next you decide if you want to build a hose of your own or buy a prefab..
And last (there are a lot more but.. I am sure this is already to much) - have a great time.. and IF you are unsure ask people most are very nice to talk to!..

I'm not an 'official' greeter, but play one in SL frequently at the Shelter.. Don't want this to sound like a commercial, but I wish I'd discovered the Shelter early on in my SL life.. The Shelter, over in the Isabel/Wingo sim is, IMO, the best place for new residents to hang out.. Lots of very nice free stuff (nice clothes, furniture, gadgets, and other stuff), and most importantly, VERY friendly people, and fun game shows 6 evenings a week, along with lots of other noobie-friendly activities... I love the place, and the owner, Travis Lambert, is the cutest dog you ever saw.. Looks like Brian on Family Guy.. (or Brian looks like Travis.. take your pick!).. If I'm not working on my place, I'm usually there.. Oh well, I guess this did turn into a commercial...Note to self: Shut up already, Tas!!!
The Shelter, located at Isabel (44,244), on the border between Isabel and Wingo!!!

However I have a mac with 10.3.9. We are locked out of the system post upgrade. And so far Linden is doing nothing for us.

these places for newbies to go sound really great! ive been in SL for 3 weeks now but i have friends that have helped me BIG TIME...but i meet alot of others that dont have that kind of luxury. these places should somehow be posted to all newbies as they come in..perhaps in that initiation section of SL where you make your initial avatar. As it is i'll pass the news on to any more newbies i run into...we are all a little hoplessly lost for the first few...minutes to weeks depending...and i got such great help comin in that its just got to be paid forward...A special shout out to all you great folks that ive met in SL so far!
