To qualify to be a Greeter in the game, I am reading the app wrong or should your try freelance greeting on your own for a bit first?

Freelance Greeting may help your application, so I would recommend it. Like with Mentoring, being helpful around the forums and with general users in-game would help that application.

I'm sure if you submit your application and actively greet people it would help, there are other factors that would be considered, but this is a great booster :)

Jeremiah, if you know a Greeter, ask if you can accompany them and observe/help. I started by helping my Greeter/Mentor. I obtained valuable experience I doing so. I kept track of the people with whom I worked and, mentioned his and their names in my application.

He is now my SL partner and we have been together for almost a year. So, there may be other benefits to volunteering. ;)

Thanks for the tip, Jennifer.

Congrats to you and your partner. Perhaps one day I can fool...err, I mean convince my wife she should join me in SL.
