Hiding groups I am a member of in my profile

I need to know if there is a way to hide the groups I am a member of from people seeing them in my profile. So when people search my name, in the groups window I can make them invisible. Even better to hide certain ones and keep others visible. I tried finding the answer in the support portal but what it says there does'nt hide anything. Thanks for your time.

Bring up the group info window, and you'll find a checkbox for that at the bottom of the general tab (it's an individual setting for each group)

Personally, I'd have someone double check that after you did it. It's supposed to work like that, but I tried it on an alt, and I could still read all of her groups. But maybe it was because it was an alt, still being played by me.

Hiding individual groups works as stated above (at least for me) however a group will still show up in your profile to other members of that group.

Tex, I still advise checking it with a friend. A while back, the "hide groups" functionality got borked, and I have seen no evidence that it's been fixed.

For what it's worth I just checked myself with my alt and he doesn't see my hidden groups. However if you have something you really want hidden I would double check with a friend or an alt, or both. Better safe than embaressed.

Or better yet, let your alt have the group membership. No issues then.
