I recently rented a house , a very nice one. When I went to furnish it, I couldn't get in touch with the owner, despite many IM...result? My doors don't lock and I have a stream of people coming in because they see the open door, and I can't furnish, because I probably need agroup tag for it...all the items that I place disappear and then come back as lost and foun.
So I lost 700 lindens and I had to rent another place....
Beware!
sorry if this is the wrong forum, it's my first post :)

Welcome ... and sorry that you made such a bad experience on renting. Your landlord should definitely be reachable ... I rent out too and try to help my tenants as good as I can.

What you describe regarding rezzing objects sounds very much like there is autoreturn activated and that you need to join a specific group to keep objects on the parcel. That is exactly the way I have set up my tenant parcels, too.

If you can find out which group that is (should be obvious from the land options ... I bet that the land is owned by the tenant group), you may well be able to join that without waiting for anybody else. After doing that rezzing should not be any problem.

Better luck in the future! :)

I suggest you get intouch with anshe chung, she is well known for real estate. Also, make sure that the land doesnot have the no building sign on it (you can also test this by rezzing an object). Also ask for limited parcel power (atleast an eject and freeze), and you can get a parcel security system to cope with this to put on your parcel.
I hope I was of some assistanc

Go buy locking doors and replace the doors that are there. If you cannot move them then at least install your own security sliding doors behind them so you and your housemates have access only. When your landlord shows up - ask him to phantom and make it transparency of 90%.
