I can't think of any reason, for this to happen, that would be particular to Vista.
Check to see if the right mouse button works in other applications and in Windows. Did they accidentally switch setting of the right mouse button? Is someone in the family left handed and changed the settings on the mouse? IS there enough RAM and Video RAM on this computer? Did they try relogging? Is the video card driver up to date? Is their Avatar bugged with some attachment? Have they tried removing all attachments? Have they tried Clearing the SL cache in preferences?

Thanks Rebecca,
It does work in other applications ... very strange, I agree. We tried everything else you said.

Thats extremely odd. I personally haven't had any mouse problems on Vista yet. And since right->click works in other programs, I'd suggest either updating your mouse driver, downloading SL again, and try rebooting. Oddly enough, I highly doubt SL is the cause of the problem this time.=D

I´m also using VIsta and there are no problems, especially not with the mouse click. I doubt that this is a SL problem. Try to download an update for the mouse driver, i think the problem should be there.
good luck

It happens on some Windows systems and isn't peculiar to Vista. Every case I've seen of this so far involved outdated video drivers. (The video drivers - specifically opengl - have to be used to figure out what, exactly, you're right-clicking on - translating the screen position back to the geometry and avatars). When it can't figure it out, or doesn't work properly for some reason, nothing happens when you right click. In every case I'm aware of, updating the drivers worked. Hope it will in this case as well.
