I have been asked a question for which I can find no adequate answer so I would like some advice. I have been told that it is possible to read previous (and often private) conversations of avatars by reading "transcripts". This is referring to basic conversation NOT IM conversation. This avatar informed me that since basic conversation is not under IM regulations then it is basically "public knowledge." It can be retrieved by unscrupulous avatars or paranoid individuals. Is this true? I am not a computer wizard so cannot see how this is possible - but if so, the implications of this are very disturbing. Comments and information please. I am adding that I have NO intention of trying this out for myself since I find the whole idea of listening to previous and obviously private chatter unsavoury to say the least.
