Second life won't start

I have loaded it up and tried to contact but when it gets to intializing quicktime part it crashes and says that the program will have to close. I have contacted tech support and updated drivers, removed old drivers, cleared cache and re-installed etc etc but nothing is working and even the tech guys seem to have run out of ideas! Anybody have any suggestions? My spec is as follows 3ghz AMD 32/64 CPU 2 Gig ram ATI X800 256 mb PC-I card 80 Gig Seagate HD Thanks Daniel
