1250L$ = no land until I pay more money?

Is there any possible way to buy 512m of land without paying 7000$L or paying rent.. or whatever. I do not really understand the land system in this game so if someone could explain it.

Here I thought a premium membership gave me land but it just entitled me to 512m towards land upkeep.

You have it exactly right, a preminum account gives you the ability to have your first 512m of land without incurring tier charges. You still have to aquire the land in a normal fashion, ie buying it.

Thanks for the answer.. but that just goes back to my original question of how to aquire it. Every thing i see seems to be 7000$L or above for 512m.. OR some rediculous rental thing that will use up all my money in two weeks. The First land was a good concept and now I really dont even wanna play.

Unfortunatley land is not free and with the loss of first land you will have to buy land in the open market as other users do. Land prices are high right now, but its a free market economy, so it is what it is.

Don't hang your playing experience on owning land, its cerainly not necessary.

Another thing you can do is 'donate your tier' to a friendly group that has land.

It's something you can revoke at any time, and it's a way to gain access to land that sometimes people are often too busy to use - fly around and you'll see many sims not anywhere near full up even though they are sold out.

In this manner you may be able to give someone a tier price break. You can be added to a group in a way that won't allow you to sell off the land for your own personal gain, for instance.

Of course, best to have a friend with land for this to work.
