What going on

What is going on with appications for live help? I been waiting for 7 months and nothing. I have IM jeska countless times for not even a BOO.........I am seeing more and more people getting into LH with ALOT LESS time in the game. Some even less then 3 months......So here I wait 7 months past and nothing to bite into for a answer! I have a clean record alot more then some that are already in LH.

Have you tried applying more then once, perhaps the original got mislaid? I know Jeska said she was way behind with all the volunteer applications and would be concentrating on catching up after the holidays. I'd IM her again as well. Good Luck!

But It seems that she is taking others before me. Since some people not even in the game when I first applied to LH. are getting in before I Strange part is I have IM her a few times about it and I have not even gotten a return reply. I don`t know anymore like LLabs needs more people more people looking at the app then just jeska.

Yes. I put my app in the same time as my mentor one.. I think around June of last year. not a word yet.

I like some real anwsers to this issue. after 7 months and countless over passes on LLabs part.

One could say that is a sorta an answer in itself.

You think with the people already in the LH and their past history run ins. I would not even have have a problem getting in. This is just a case who you know that gets in .........I have no other real answers anymore.....

I don't think this is a FIC thing, as I'm pretty vocally critical of LL and forum moderation. Nevertheless, I did get a stint on LH. I think it is more a case of staff overload.

I don't think its a FIC thing at all. I waited about 10 weeks for my application for Mentor and then got accepted week or so back. I'd never even spoken to a Linden.......

I think its probably more a case of backlog with added confusion!

Initially LH was for a few months then they got a whole new load in LH. The problem was obvious, each 3 months a whole new load of LH needed to learn the ropes. A few were asked to stay over to help the new ones. That has changed now, you sign up now for a min of ummm 3 months I believe, but do not have to leave and reapply for LH. So basically what I think is there isnt the need for as many LH each 3 months. Many stay on and dont need replaced.
I may be wrong but this is my take on it.

do you have to be appointed or recognized by ll to help... be a real mentor, if you see a newbie (or an older player) just offer to help. they will remember your kindness alot longer.

No, you don't need to be annointed by LL to help others. I'd been an "offiicial" mentor and live helper at various times. The Mentor label never mattered to anyone and I quit Live Help when I tired of the IM spam-fest (which may have been fixed by now) and for being in the unpleasant position of being uncompensated front-line complaint desk for LL which often resulted in "I'm sorry it's just broken and there isn't much anyone can do for you".

I sought out both groups because I enjoy teaching and helping. Now, as before, I get to do it on my time when I feel like it which I find far more rewarding.

I've recently become aware of a group with the odd name of TeaZers that holds a lot of good classes and does other helping activities. They may be worth looking into if you get tired of waiting for the LL mill to crank.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I been waiting over 7 months........Gesh for lh? gesh i have mentor and greeter title already......I think its more then just a over sight......They just don`t want to say it for some reason of another

titles are not the issue. Its the helping I have done in the past that speaks for it....ok i mean i have/had have help people, no matter or where I go. I get alot of game time in (which they want) so whats the problem... in resent month seeing some people get LH before me even those they were not even in the game when i first got my mentor title. Some thing is strange.......indeed.......If i am good enough for mentor and greeter why not LH?!

I quit LH 6 months ago and still get LH e-mails. I don't think they are well automated there. I really wouldn't personalize their lack of organization, Usagi.

I suppose..It just surprizes me that lh IS lacking in this way....

Hmmm interesting. Usagi has applied several times for Live Help and I applied and got picked the same day. Makes you wonder.

Wake up and smell the saki. LL does NOT want you to be a Live Helper. Hell I am surprised your bunny ass hasn't been booted from Mentor or Greeter yet.

You are rude, impatient, and most of the time have opinions or incorrect information instead of fact. You are not able to communicate well, I understand English is not your first language and many people have no idea what you are trying to say.

So keep waiting! And I expect to hear 7 more months from now that if you are still in world you are still waiting to be chosen.

Well, I probaby have been waiting just as long. When the website recently changed it showed I had no application. I started another one and it had my info already and now shows up, (maybe a few weeks ago, not really sure). No response still, but whatever.

Yeah, heard the turnover is not like it was (since it was required at some point). Could just be a timing issue, more a right email right time than a waiting list. Or could be someone has a skill set that matches exactly a person leaving.

So, you aren't the only one. Anyone who would like to hypothesize about why I am unworthy, feel free.

Damn, I'm in the same boat, glad your here Rickard; makes me feel a little better I haven't been selected if there are people even more talented than me who haven't either.

Wonder If skills of the person leaving and that is coming match? well that might be highly doubltful. With some of the one that were not even in the game say 6 month or less. Anyways If LLabsa wants to bring me in fine if not well............what can i say I done my positions on sl as the wanted done. the rest is up to them.
