Still Cant Get In

I know there was an update today and they had problems with the log in but I am still unable to log in I get to connecting to reagion and stay there... any idea what I can do to fix this...

hi i also cant get in but instead of sying conecting to region mine is saying verifying protocol version and thats were i stay untill it comes up saying unable to connect to sl if any one can help pleaseeeee

Hm, still can't get in myself. No telling though, it is SL, and it is the day after an update, heh.

I can't get in either mine is saying something like my display setting have been set to my system configuration I don't know what the problem is Grrrrr

Had some problems myself, so I uninstalled all of SL, downloaded a new copy, installed that and when running chose the lowest graphics setting. Once running changed graphics setting back up again. Still had problems with friends list not showing everybody who was online, some avatars looking like blue plastic models, general sluggisness and no library in my inventory.

This is a known issue, and Im sure that LL is working on it as fast as they can. You will be notified when the 'hiccup' is repaired. Try rebooting your system then trying, and if that doesnt work contact support. Or [email=support@secondlife.com]email[/email] them.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, cleaned my registry, reinstalled. Sent emails to "Support", Called the number and left a voice ticket (because god forbid you talk to a real live person). Everything. It has been 3 days and I have not been able to connect to SL. Every single time. right after it checks protocol it crashes to desktop. All I have gotten are typical BS patterned responses (I've worked Tech Support before I know this song and dance). Not once, ONCE have I gotten one single shred of help. I am trying to run a business in SL. Rent for my Store and My land are due this week. This is by far the worst customer service I have EVER seen (And I worked for Dell). Needless to say I'll be cancelling my premium account when I get back into the game.

good for you tybalt !!!!, perhaps if a lot more people had the same attitude as you ,and cancelled their accounts maybe more get done to sort these issues out .I had exactly the same probs and went thru the same procedures as you -got absolutely nothing in the way of a response . luckily for me the update worked , and solved theproblem .

If you are running Windows try running chkdsk from the "Run..." Menu button...should be right at the bottom of the Start Menu. last time this happened ta me I got a total of 7 Form letters in 2 days, re-installed Windows, but the same problem happened again...so I tried runnin chkdsk. Worked

Your SL Cache probably got corrupted

btw, you cancel your account from the website, not from in world... but if he cancels his account I guess he'll never know if the next update fixes whatever problem he had like it did with Krew.
