Problem With Grid

Hi There - I have a problem with the grid in that when I zoom in I can see the three main islands - but when I zoom out I don't see any islands at all.

Can you please let me know if this is a setting on my vieiwer or if it's a problem with the grid itself?

Maybe a draw distance setting? Check under preferences.
