OK, I thought I did everything right. I purchased some land, put it in places, mad the landmark so everyone came in at the same spot. Traffic 192 first day - I was happy. Next day, I was there, and watched people come and go, it was good, I check traffic - it says 1. I know there was more than one - quite a lot more. According to LL, "Traffic is a number for each parcel which is based on the amount of Residents who visited, and the time spent on that parcel out of their total time inworld that day. It's calculated using a complex algorithm."
Observations by residents suggest that it's not so complex any more, about 1 point per avatar-minute, and very short visits may not count.
The numbers can be screwed up pretty easily. Second Life has bad days and fails to update the counts, things can be put out of whack by parcel divides and joins, and who knows what else.
I see that your shop is split among a few parcels, one that shows 90 traffic, another with 4, a couple with 0. If the others in your land group are OK with it, you might want to join the land so it isn't scattered like that.

traffic gets credited next day

In my experience, today's traffic numbers wont show up until tomorrow. don't know the exact timing, but that seems to be the average.
Visit VIRGIN ISLE MARINA for boat, yacht, catamaran, quad atv, snowmobiles, jetskis, and more. Also stop by Bartlett & Nielsen furniture (virgin isle bazaar) for amazing furniture on two sims.

WOW I can't believe it. I don't know why no one else has thought of this. I put 600 camping benches in the shopping area of my club and now I'm number 1. Who would have thought the traffic numbers could be so easily manipulated.
P.S. This is sarcasm. I don't have 600 camping benches. I don't have a club. But I do know this is a problem. People will always cheat to try and win, even in a game that has no winners.

Yesterday My Traffic Was At 11576 And Today It Is At 0.
Lol I Know I Had Less People Then The Day Before But Not That Less Lol.

When I shop and use search I never visit a high traffic shop. If there's more than one page I usually go to the second page to choose a shop. If I read comments about a shop and its just a huge list of words, I avoid it. If it mentions camping of any sort I avoid it. I dont shop by traffic it means nothing to me.
