need help wit selling products

I just figured out how to make products in sl and i was wondering how do you make you clothing available for sale in a store how do you make the product boards and what not

You need a "vendor". This can be as simple as a single prim with a picture of the item on the front, and the item itself in the prim's Contents tab.

You can also buy vendors that cycle through a number of items with "forward" and "back" buttons. This lets you have more items for sale without using up a display prim for every item. Hippo Technologies makes a very popular vendor of this type.

If the thing you are selling consists of multiple items (like a pair of prim shoes and a shoe base, for instance) you may want to box the product before putting it in your vendor. Make a box prim and give it a pretty texture. You can add frills like a floating text script that displays a message like "right click and select Open, then copy contents to inventory". Drag your items into the box, then put the box in your vendor.

ALWAYS CHECK THE PERMISSIONS of the items you are selling, by testing the sale with a friend or an alt. Make sure that the item the customer receives has the permissions you intend...either Copy/Mod/No Transfer, or No Copy/Transfer.
