Need Premium Acct. to sell?

I've searched SL high and low and cannot find the answer to my question.

Is it necessary to have a Premium account to sell things in SL?

I have created at alt account for building/selling. I do not have payment info on file for this account.

Any suggestions for a source of good information for a new builder/seller would be very much appreciated, as well.

To sell things? Like in-world?

Not at all. Right click an object, and edit it. Make sure 'more' is open (Should say 'less) and then check the 'for sale' box with 'copy' selected, and a price set. That makes the object for sale as copies, for the price you set.

You can also set permissions very near that little bit of the menu
