I need some help..Over time I have purchased different parcels of land in the same region {all in Marietta}. From an ariel camera view, I was able to join all these parcels so I could have alot of prim usage. Now however I wish to divide the parcels back up as they were originally so that I can sell them and just buy one big parcel instead. The only problem is; this doesn't seem as easy as joining them was. I go to arial view drag the line over and am trying to subdivide little by little till I get them all divided but am having a hard time as I am not getting the chance to subdivide..the buttons grayed out. If anyone knows what I mean could you offer any advice? It would really REALLY be appreciated! Thank you fellow SL'ers!

It should exactly work that way

Sounds like you are doing it right... select an part of your parcel with the selection tool and then press the subdivide button. Maybe the SL problems today were the problem. Try it again on a calmer day.

You'll probably find you were selecting a small parcel of land that did not belong to you by accident...then the divide option would be greyed out.start in the corner of the land and drag until you have selected a parcel the correct size. Mainland with it's oddly shaped parcels : ) If sl's having problems I personally would leave any division until blog says no problems, and you have the all clear.

Also, bear in mind, it's not necessary to join parcels to 'get a lot of prims'. You can, without joining, put all available prims on any parcel (within the sim) that you own. Say you own 1/2 the sim, and a 512 sq meter lot on the other side of the sim. You could effectively put all 7617 prims on the 512 without joining the lot. Look at any lot you own, Simulator primitive usage is the total prims you have in the sim, and will appear on every lot in that sim that you own.
