Live Helper Power

Do Live Helpers have any other power than being on the recieving end of the Live Helper system? Such as reading limited chat logs and such?

And why does it take so fscking long to get help by using Live Help?

Live Helpers have *NO* power at all.

And it takes so long because sometimes there's no Live Helpers logged on, or, because they are volunteers, choose not to answer every call for help since they are not obligated to.

To be exact, we have one VERY minor power - we can teleport directly to someone who's asking a question. That's it.

Lets not forget the awesome power of the respect of thousands.

Also it takes so long at times because we are busy with other LiveHelp IM's, at times in the day LiveHelp can be very busy and it can take a few min. for somone to get to your IM, also it helps to get helped faster if you ask the question right away and you just don't say "Hi", and if you include all the details in the IM when you first send it so when we get to the IM we wont need to be asking all the questions.

I have asked a lot of questions and found the Live Helpers to be awesome. They rock and their contribution is very much appreciated.

I think and don't quote me on this, but if a live helper shows up to help resolve grief and is intentionally shot along the way its about the same as blasting a LL employee...how do I know, I have a small case study of 2, but in both instances those ppl who griefed were banned...now for the real question....


WHY IS THE FENCE ONLY 30M WHEN PPL CAN HOVER AND STILL GRIEF WITH EASE? WOULDN'T 96M MAKE MORE SENSE AT THE VERY LEAST?

To answer the fence question, it is so it wont affect people trying to fly above, but that isn't always helpful when it comes to people who were banned, they can just bomb you from above still. What I think would be good to help solve this is for the fence to check the owner of all objects that come in contact with it, if it is from a banned person it wont let the object past, as for if it is on access only if the object is from someone on the access list it would let it by and if not on the list it wouldn't let it by.

Could other groups have a group chat system like the LH do, where they don't get messages unless they have their group title showing? Would it be useful?

We still get messages...we dont get LiveHelp IM's from other residents needing Help, we still get LiveHelp GROUP IM's. We can control whether or not we get Resident Live Help calls by are Live Helper tag being on or off

Bomb yes...shoot or target via a list on a gun or weapon no. The vast majority of freebie greif tools are limited to 96m at best so at least it would be better than 30m no?

I understand that you don't get to shut off all messages, I didn't mean to imply that it turns off your phone service and puts your email into vacation mode and makes your physical mail go the dead letter box and makes your computer monitor go blank and turns you deaf and blind and causes you to lose your sense of touch and taste and smell and your kinesthetic sense.
