no music?

so, I logged on this evening, and have no music, nada. Teleported to diff sim, residents in the same place said they had music, I did not, cleared cache relogged. Did not fix. Teleported diff location ran into others with same issue. Uninstalled/reinstalled still no music. Changed url several times. urls seem to be working fine outside of SL. checked blogs didn't see anything on it. please if anyone knows how to fix please let me know I would appreciate it.

I am having the same problem. Today my streaming audio sound is gone. One day last week I was crashing everytime I tried to log in, and finally got in when i disabled streaming audio at the login screen, which leads me to believe it was causing all of the crashes. I still turned it back on, and now I have a feeling something got broken due to all that crashing. I've reinstalled winamp (the latest version) but how am I to even know that SL is using winamp and not another app on my system?

Same issues here as well. Worked all day trying to figure this out.

Soon as i change a station, I get no music. But if i relog, then i can hear it.

last night all night neither I or my friends had music any place. It has to be another problem with SL

I'm wondering if perhaps Quicktime has done another update that you don't have installed? I know that when the movie control doesn't work, a fresh update of Quicktime works for me.

I have bought some land and have followed the instructions in 'Overview of Music in Second Life' article.

I have switched on my preferences - unticked mute audio - and have typed in the url to the music site http://luckysevenradio.com/listen/meditation/hi_asx when I click on the music button it refuses to stay on play.

Any help would be great.

Maybe this is a new bug but I had to do this as well.

I've been fighting with my radio for the last ... half hour or so and finally resorted to just getting a stream from online. After plugging it into my media stream...nothin'. I tested the feed in Winamp and it worked just fine.

The feed worked just fine in SL after I relogged.

Is this a new issue or has this been going on?

Lucky Seven Radio has changed their URLs. Not to mention that SL does not support windows media streams (that is one).

Sorry to say it but I am "happy" to see it not only was me that have lost the sound.

you need to pop in a url that has a port listed not a .pls or asx.. a proper url that would need to go into the land audio settings would look somthing like this ex: http://123.234.23:5342 or http://www.yourradiostationhere.com:5342/
once that is entered in you should start recieving audio

no music since saturday

Are they down in SL? I have radios that have dozens of streams but cant pick up any. Went to shoutcast, picked up a stream, listened to it, then added the URL into SL...nothing again. I did this with 10 different streams, all worked outside SL but not in.
I have the lastest QT. All this started about Saturday too.

I, too, am experiencing more music outages than earlier this year, especially when crossing parcels repeatedly.

Came home for lunch and to test the streams. When I first logged n I culd hear the music but as soon as I changed stations there was nothing again. Checked about two dozen stations from shoutcast.com that were not even close to being full and they all worked fine, but when I entered the URLs in SL I get nothing. Went back to the original stream and nothing once again. Rechecked all settings in SL and everything is good.
I almost dont expect a response from LL as they dont seem to respond in the first place. Why do we bother with these forums (this one's called SL Live Helpers, how ironic) when LL can't be bothered to respond or fix issues?
