i cant login for hours now ....
It gives me following:
login failure
"copy inventory to new database"
Please contact support@secondlife ....
What can this bee and how can it be solved?
Already contacted support but this needs time

take a look at this, reverting back to 1.13 may solve your problem until they fix this problem.
Make sure you delete everything connected with sl on your puter first. Offical Linden Blog _____________________

This is nice to wake up too... I got the same problem and same error. I have also tried uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling. Tried both 1.13 and 1.14...both no go. Little disapointing, but what can ya do? Anyways, anyone else got anything else to try for this? lol

This happened to me this morning prior to updating to the new version so that is not the problem. I still can't login with my account, however, I can log into the beta grid and onto a different account all on the same computer. Can't figure it out!

I still can not log in to one of my accounts and can on another. I'm wondering if it's the size of my inventory as my main is a builder and I have quite a hefty inventory. |

This isn't a Video Card issue, which is why the -nosound fix works. It is a resource sharing issue. On many Motherboards with built in sound this issue will occur, and since many of those boards also have the MOBILITY Video Cards in them, the issue seems related to the Video Card, but it is NOT. The reason the crash immediately follows the Video reset is because Sound is the next thing to load. REGARDLESS of the type of video card, Video uses Hardware FIRST, but falls back on software for rendering under extreme use, especially on MOBILE or MOBILITY graphics systems. The solid state built in Sound System then loses it's cacheing, and the system locks up. Sound streaming uses a different engine and handling system, so it isn't a good indicator. Just a thought, we experienced this login/startup problem with another live online rpg and it was fixed by changing all SOUND EFFECTS to 22kbps and 30 seconds or less. Also, increasing total system hardware and paging caches to maximum, or setting the hardware cache to 0xffffffff in the Registry, (Windows) fixes some of the stubborn Video vs. Sound issues as well. (I am a former Intel Support Tech, and my Husband is a Software Engineer for LARGE Laptop manufacturer) |
