The SL Mentor group IM is becoming chaotic. While we, as mentors, are not on duty, we're often busy doing other things, like trying to build, script, etc, but there are still others trying to get help among the group. With over 1000 members in the group, it becomes very busy at times with people asking questions. This is fine, except for those of us that aren't wearing our mentor hats and are trying to do other things, and it's causing our happy little group to become a bit snippy.
I can't live in busy mode, I have to communicate with my customers and friends. Please PLEASE fix this LL, it's tearing us apart!

I also find my large group has issues with chat.

There's a feature request to have a user option to turn off group IM, which is now at jira.secondlife.com. Please first log into jira and then vote for it at https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-64. Thanks!

Sad to say I finally had enough of this issue the other night & just left the Mentors group as well as the Instructors group. After almost 2 years, the SAME questions... the SAME comments... that compounded with the inablility to close the group IM window... *le sigh*
It was fun helping when I had more time ... hate I had to leave the groups but until this is fixed it's all I could do to stop the screamin...

Please, PLEASE fix group IM's!
