I thought you meant the official second life volunteers previously call mentors

(they are now SL volunteers or SL helper)
forget which

If you go to Help Island Public, there are usually SL Volunteers there who can help you, but if you want to hire a guide, maybe a post in the employment section?

hm...

There is no "guide" for "how to find a mentor" but like said Alida go to the Help/orientation Island, there is few of them.

Check on some "local communities", or your friends network.

Have a great Second life :)

I believe (if Myth is correct) if you find 2 Liden Sticks and rub them together, you will find a Mentor long before SL reaches its 10th Birthday.

Do you think there's a market for this? Hired SL Guide? I mean, I would've LOVED to have a Guide to suggest places, show me around, when I was new (actually, a couple of kind people did do that, for free...thank you!)

So the need is out there...but do the people with the need have the ability to pay for it? Most newbies are broke...

Phonicky, contact me in-world via IM. Maybe we can work something out.

I can be a guide, but I dare not say what kind.

Help Island is the Grand Central Station of SL. If you don’t like the crowed that’s there just wait a while and a whole new crowed appears. Helpful people rotate in and out all day and night…umm and day.

Two ideas...

1. There is a SL Travel Agency. Search for Heather Genosse and look at her profile. They have a number of pre-packaged tours...romantic evenings, beach part, hot clubs, how to build, and so on.

2. Drop by Memory Bazaare in Ross. (Again, search.) Ask people there where they like to go, and if they would take you and show you. There is also a device called the Compass there, and if you click it it suggests an interesting spot.
