Been a long time since I signed up, and I've been asked this question a few people have asked me. I don't know the answer so I thought I would ask my fellow mentors.
If someone signs up with a basic account, but then decides to make that account premium, will they be able to name their referral source at that time? (Like, if they forgot to name them/forgot your SL name when they signed up for free.)

Thank you! No. To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to change or add a referral source. Furthermore, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I heard (in the SL Answers forum) that since the Basic Account referral bonus was taken away, you only receive a bonus if the person you refer immediately signs up for premium. As in, if they sign up for basic and then a few months later upgrade to premium, you don't get the new referral bonus amount. |
