Application

I volunteered to be a mentor ages ago, but it still says "Application under consideration" or whatever on the page. When can I expect a definate answer?

It took a good month or two for my application to go through, but I have no idea if that is short, long, or average.

What I do know is that (in my experience), you shouldn't expect "status reports". The volunteer page will continue to say "under consideration" until you are actually added to the group. At that point, Jeska will leave you an IM, give you a group invite, and drop a notecard with some basic orientation information on it.

(And then once you have the group tag and can get to Help Island, I highly recommend seeking out Blueman Steele or Tateru Nino to get the "unofficial orientation". )

I'm sorry if it hasn't gone through yet... there's a backlog right now. Jeska will be back in a couple days and I will do what I can to help. Thanx for applying. ^.^

I applied about 2 months ago and am still waiting. My friend Shak waited just over 3 months. This isn't to discourage, you but to let you know that patience is a virture all things considered. And yes, Tateru is an awesome mentor. As is Lethe, her protege'.

I was recently made a Mentor and Instructor by Torley Linden, but when I switch to the Mentor Group, I still get no results in Find for Help Island. My Volunteer page still says "Application Under Review" though. Could that be part of the problem?

Help Island is down for some repairs right now, and is inaccessible. We hope to have it back and working within the next few days.

Okies, been accepted (w00t and thanks ) and I got the e-mails about being added to the group and all that in-world, but when I logged in, I didn't see any invite or anything. Now, knowing my luck something just blipped or whatever. Can the invite and notecard be resent?
