Find a Mentor?

What's the best way to find a mentor in SL?

hi.....I am not an expert in such matters, but i don't think there are like 'registered' ones anymore........there are several of 'newbie' friendly places to go in SL and I'm sure u will find loads of help from the regular posters on the forums, especially if u have any sl issues or problems, as they are a font of all possible information. A search in the tab above, can also show u things that have been previously discussed..good luck

There is still a group of volunteers operated by Linden Lab called "Second Life Mentor".
If we are "on duty" we should have the group title "Second Life Mentor" showing.


An example of such a mentor is shown above.

To the extent that Second Life Mentors congregate in findable places, those places are Help Island, both the restricted access ones for new users, and the public ones, Help Island Public and Help Island Public2, Orientation Island Public, Welcome Areas such as Waterhead and the Ahern Morris Dore Bonifacio one, and the infohubs.

Second Life Mentors can sometimes be found at unofficial help places like NCI, the New Citizens Inc. group, the Shelter and other such places.

There are also help groups run by regular users such as the New Citizens Inc. group mentioned above and the Help People Institute was mentioned in the Mental Mentors group chat when I asked for help answering this question. Help People Institute has an island of it's own called Help People Island.
