I answered a call yesterday for Mentors to go and help a newbie lost on an OI. I went to HI and looked there and on each OI I could see, but no newbie of the name given. I IMd her (or him) and made some suggestions but no reply. A little while later she IMd me and said she was at 'The Exit'. I asked her to stay where she was and I'd find her, but again there was no-one of that name around. I asked her to tp me but she logged off.
I haven't been mentoring long, so am I wrong in assuming the OIs are all linked to HI? Was this person wandering around in an unconnected island? Should I have asked her to use the Exit notice and go to the WA? It crossed my mind but by this time I was afraid of her getting hopelessly lost.

Hiya..
It is my understanding that Orientation Island is linked to Help Island...but they must exit one to get to the other, and that they have a choice to exit to either HI or to WA in world.

Is it possible the noob somehow wandered into the mythical "Cornfield" where she is now penning a how-to on land exortion and griefing?
