I am interested in making images that the background, intstead of just being white is clear...I have tried this befroe but it didn't really work for me. Can someone help me steb by step? I use gimp by the way.

Try NEO! They have some great classes and they are best of all FREE! Usually if you are looking for something they will help you get it. Good luck

There is an open join in-world group called "GIMP artists of SL".
I joined this group and asked if there is a guide on alpha channels for SL using GIMP. A member said I could IM you with their name and you could contact them and they would show you. So I did. _____________________
