Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to go with this and to be honest, I feel quite foolish even saying it but tonight I was trying to get rid of some of the groups that I don't participate in anymore and by mistake I hit "leave group" for Mentoring!
I've been a Second Lifer for over 2 years now and I'm also a longtime mentor now and still love doing it so I don't want to leave the group whatsoever. I made a huge mistake inworld tonight as you can see.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem and regain my Mentor status once again? I don't want to bother a Linden with this problem but perhaps a Linden moderator of this thread could offer me some assistance with this?
Any suggestions and/or help would be very welcome.
Thank you in advance, Elizabeth Demar

My experience won't be positive for you. I did the very same thing. I sent messages within a couple days to Blue Linden. That was well over a year ago. I tried messaging other Lindens I knew of too. I doubt they have records of who was mentors because if so they could easily have checked and found me. Try contacting Blue since he is over that group. I hope you have better luck then I did. Good luck

That stinks, the only thing you can really do is send a message to each of the v-team, maybe go to their office hours and bug them there and hope for the best. Since the v-team I'm sure get tons of messages I'd suggest also sending the same message via notecard to each of them (since that won't get capped) and I would strongly suggest the office hours since that's probably the best way to make sure that they notice.

I agree with the idea of visiting Blue's office hours. While office hours aren't really meant to be for support issues, it's still a good way to get attention. (^_^)y http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/VTeam_Office_Hours

Thank you to all of you that helped me on this conundrum I've gotten myself into. I've now submitting a ticket to LL and I'm hoping and have got my fingers crossed that I can be in the mentor group once again.

As long as you don't step out of the volunteer program entirely (which you'd have to do on the site, not just by leaving the group) you can just ask for a group invite . Or that's the way it was 2-3 months anyway, I asked Amber the same question after a friend left the group. If you left on the site as well, you'd have to reapply and go through the entire trainee process so hopefully you didn't go that far .

Hi Kitty, I had no idea about this! This sounds like wonderful news And I hope this still stands 2-3 months later. I didn't step out of the program entirely through the website so I guess I just need an invite I guess? I don't want to impose on anyone, including any Lindens but do you know if I could just ask Mentor in the group already? I have a friend that's a fellow mentor..... would she be able to add me to the group do you think? Thank you so much, this all gives me hope Elizabeth Demar From: Kitty Barnett As long as you don't step out of the volunteer program entirely (which you'd have to do on the site, not just by leaving the group) you can just ask for a group invite . Happened to me, Amber fixed it in a couple of minutes. Contact Amber or Mia is the quickest way. You will have to reapply on the website for the system track you.

Elizabeth, thanks for starting this thread. I have now been added back to the Mentors group. *woooo hoooo*
The advice I got I will offer here for anyone else that has this problem. As long as you are in the database you can be re-added by contacting anyone on the "Vteam". They can add you right back in.
