UPDATE: See last post for more current information!
While testing 1.9 today, we came upon a bug which prevents Help Island from being
accessible by new Residents. After discussions with the engineers, we decided it would be best to take Help Island "off the air" until we could find a more permenent solution to the problem (ie: not just hack it together to make it kind of work). The introduction of the new estate tools offers a higher level of control for private estates, such as the one the Orientation Islands and Help Island share. Unfortunately, we were not able to test this in preview and I apologize for this inconveniance.
Therefore for the next few days, Help Island will not be accessible by anyone and will not be offered to new Residents. Please note that this is by no means a permenent problem and we will be working on bringing Help Island back up as a high priority for the remainder of the week.

Update:
As of today, Help Island is still down. We are currently working on a fix, but it will probably not be available until early next week. Concurrently, we are working on a fix for the Greeter database issues experienced before the 1.9 release. It is our hope to have a fix for both problems very soon.
Also, if you previously had your homepoint set to Help Island, it should have been cleared out during the update.

Hello volunteers! We're testing the fix for Help island for tomorrow's update, so far things are going well - I'll be sure to let you all know as soon as we know for sure that it will be in the fix! Thank you all for your patience.  |

For some reason, Jeska, your posts in this forum have REALLY TINY fonts. I have to cut/paste into Notepad to see them. What am I doing wrong?

Due to some re-configuring during the update this morning and further fixes this afternoon, Help Island reopened about an hour ago. As an added bonus, the in-world Greeter selection is also working again.
