In order to better serve you, the instructors of Second Life, we are compiling a list of educational groups currently holding classes. Please send us the name of your group, your officers, and your group charter. We are in the process of revamping education support. As we move forward we would like to establish clear channels of communication with all the educational groups currently doing great work in SL. You can reply to this forum thread or email me directly at jesse@lindenlab.com. Thanks!

Hey, I have an idea, I know it is radical, but I'm an "out of the box thinking" sorta guy. Maybe Linden Lab could compensate instructors in some form to help people make better use of the grid and possibly result in their wanting more of the resources available thus generating additional revenue for Linden Lab. I mean the courses are kind of necessary since the documentation is laughably sparse when not outright incorrect. If you did compensate instructors, then your list would generate itself - a win-win proposition!
Oh wait, some other part outside the box remembers that you used to do this but figured that it would be better to not compensate instructors so there would be more space on the event board for Tringo.
Never mind.

ouch, i sense vague drippings of sarcasm there.... Linden Lab does compensate instructors in some form, namely 500$L. I realize that's not exactly a windfall but it helps

I'm unfortunately an "independent" doing irregular classes However, I welcome this initiative, and I'm certainly available - as I've pointed out often, both in-world and on the forums - to join any group(s) [well, as long as they aren't SL groups, sadly I'm unable to add more...] that are interested in organizing regular educational sessions. I definitely applaud this initiative, Jesse Please count me in
