Hello SLers,
trying to organise a small gathering of people at my work and I am bored rigid of just Webex so looking to set up a live meeting and want to use the SL platform for the gathering.
Though would be great to sex up my the speakers and turn them into hippies or the lead singer from kiss i need to try and make them look as close to what they look like in person.
Tried to use facegen but not sure how to transfer my 3D image to SL.
Any advice?

Ogilvy,

My suggestion is: forget it.

It's possible to get an avatar that looks "pretty much" like your RL self, but it involves sending several pictures of yourself to a skilled Photoshop artist for the creation of a custom skin and shape, and a cost of a couple hundred dollars. Real dollars, not lindens.

You can also do it yourself (except for the custom skin). But tweaking your shape so that it "looks sort of like you" (it won't be REALLY close) takes skill, and probably several hours of work spread over a few days. Plus shopping for clothes and accessories that look like yours, etc.

For a business meeting, it's not worth it.

Instead, why not create a few generic business avatars? Give them each a free titler, and show them how to change the title to put their name over their avatar's head.
