Hello,
I am doing research on teaching teens history via Second Life. The university I attend already has an island on the main grid in SL, which I know is off limits to anyone under 18. However, since my research would only take a few weeks, would it be possible to restrict my section of the university's island on the main grid for teens to enter only during those two weeks? With permission of all those involved, of course.
Any help would be great! Anne

Hi Anne,
It would be best to pose your question to Linden Lab. This forum is for SL Volunteers (Mentors, Greeters, ResMods) to discuss their volunteer experiences. I would have the Administrator at your University contact Concierge Support.
Even though as a mentor I have no authority concerning SL, my opinion would be that Linden Lab would not allow this. The TOS clearly states you must be 18 to access the Main SL Grid. Once those teens were on the grid there would not be a way to limit their movements.
Good luck!

You might also look into getting you (or your teacher(s)) access to the Teen Grid instead.
Either way, it will require Linden Lab's permission.

I have been trying to find a sponsor for the teen grid, to no avail. I do appreciate your getting back to me!
