I'm starting a serious group for those with Alcohol enduced problems. I've been struggling with the problem for years, but if others are in need of support, I think as a group we can ban together and have regular conferances to help each other through this difficult infliction. I have just recently decided to quit drinking. I'm getting through with alot of moral support, soda, and building in SL. If you'd like more information, obviously contact me, Orhalla Zander.

This isn't another 12 step cult is it?

No, I'm entirely serious. I have met people before when this group was a joke... and they were sincerly in need of help... well i'm suffering to stay sober and i'm getting through, but i know there are others out thers out there who could use the help as well. Not a cult... just to get together and try to be supportive regularly.

I think it's a great idea. Alcoholics anonymous isn't always anonymous... People feel that they aren't anon. whatsoever... Whether on a phone-speaking to a real person and HEARING their voice or going to meeting and talking about your problems to complete strangers.

If there are groups for all the things there are irl- Alcoholism, smoking, Drugs, etc- People may feel more secure. They don't hear your voice and you have no way of knowing who they are.

I strongly support you and good luck on the group, let us know how you go :)

A support group isn't a cult, but the 'normal' AA 12 step program works just like a cult. Hope this clears up confusion.
