The first monthly Week of Learning for 2009 will be held Friday February 13 - Thursday February 19th. I'm appealing to any mentors interested in taking a group of people for a class or talk to come forward and host a class! Generally these classes are held at our headquarters in Tenera http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tenera/187/104/71
We're aiming to get as many as possible to teach their favorite things in second life, this could be building, scripting, wiki-ing, getting help in SL, texturing, sculpted prims, machinima, team building, land management, groups, appearance editing, event hosting, Question and Answer sessions... the list is endless whatever you feel confident in talking about and sharing with people come along and share it with the residents of SL!
If you're interested, all you need to do at this stage is get your class or classes listed on the wiki here:
https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mainland_Mentor_Coaches_Class_Schedule
And add it also to http://secondlife.com/events
When you do your class, if possible remember how many came to your class to put in the feedback form which i'll send up closer to the event, this way we can get solid numbers of people interested in taking classes there. Also if you (or someone in the class) can get some photos to add to the weekend of learning flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/slwol/ so people can see what happens there!

(if you're not on flickr send them to me and i'll add them for you!)
Check out http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Weekend_of_Learning for more information.
The Week(end) of learning is an opportunity for the mentor coaches to work together to help as many people as possible enjoy Second Life better through learning. It's also a great opportunity to promote the Second Life Mentor group as a source of help for people in world.
Please pass this note around other people you think may be interested in helping and IM me with ideas or issues!
Regards and best wishes,
Simon Kline
