Greeter "central request dispatcher" needs a reset...?

Hi all,

A very quick survey done in-world showed that some Greeters aren't getting any requests since 1.7 was deployed. Now, as the number of new users hasn't dropped much, I wondered a bit about the reason.

From the way the Greeter "central request dispatcher" works, I think it's a very simple device that simply uses XML-RPC from SL's website to send a message to the selected Greeter (yes, I'm assuming it was something done on an afternoon of spare developer time, lol, since it's really the easiest way to do it). If so, that device may very well have stopped working with the deployment of 1.7 and needs a reset. All my own XML-RPC scripts needed a reset, but I didn't think much about it, since all my scripts are usually very buggy, but I noticed a pattern here when suddenly Ginko, SL Exchange, and SL Boutique (I'm assuming others as well) suggested their customers to reset their XML-RPC-enabled thingies as well. So it seems that this is all related to the same issue.

If that's the case, perhaps someone (Jeska?) should go and reset the Greeter thingy :) If not, well, hmm... has anybody been getting requests lately? Perhaps it's just my ugly face on the picture that scares newbies off ;)

Thanks for the quick reply, Jeska! I don't know what "magic" you've done, but it certainly works now again, I've successfully received a few Greeter requests already, and hopefully others have as well!
