Not sure if this is a volunteer question, as it applies to new resi orientaiton too: "Is there going to be a way eventually that will allow transit between the three HIs for new resis?" I often get people that joined with a friend(s) but they've been seperated and are at different Help Islands... and it does not seem very fair to tell them they'll have to rush through HI to the mainland to meet up again because they can't be shifted from one to another. it happens quite often...

I believe the Help Island design and methodology is up for review once feedback starts coming in from the new Orientation Islands (once they are ready and operating)

What new Orientation Islands? Are they new but the same as the old ones or new in features?
By the way, Help Island 3 that doesn't have visible O.I.s around it - where do people come into it from?

According to the linden press, there's new Orientation Islands being built that apparently will be ready to replace the existing ones, soon.

If they don't look like the current ones, that will be a real change - O.I.s seem to have looked much the same for two and a half years or so.
Ought to take some group pictures in the old (current) style O.I.s while they are there.

I think some good ones for the history wiki would be nice But yeah, according to what I've read, it's a complete rebuild from the ground up. I wouldn't expect a single prim, texture or script from the old ones to go into the new ones. That was the stuff they posted about after slviews1. |
