A new solar system in a box device has been designed by me. It's a neat little planetarium device that has some features I have not seen anywhere else.
Device itself is small, flat box that upon activation will create a miniature solar system. 8 planets orbit around tiny sun that can be activated to act as a light. Initially the solar system is only 50 centimeters in diameter, but user can select different sizes up to 8 meters in diameter.
Orbital speed of planets can be changed from calm and relaxed to fast and furious. Or if you wish, you can simply stop the planets at the positions where they happen to be. And if you were to install the device on board of a starship, there is nifty hologram mode where solar system turns semi-transparent and has a green tint.
All this is controlled through simple menu and getting started couldn't be any easier. Just rez the control device, turn it on and you're good to go.
