How to Make Metallic Logos from Fonts: Tutorial

The first in our new line of Photoshop tutorials is now available. The tutorial walks you through the steps to do a metallic text and logo, similar to those used in movies (the logo for this ad was made with this tutorial). You can also make this type logo in Gimp should you so choose (you will need to download the free GimpShop program).

What You Get:

A tutorial with detail steps to take you from a plain font to a 3d metallic font that can be used as logos in Second Life or can be used on websites.

What is Required:

You need to own a copy of Photoshop CS3 (older versions of Photoshop will work as well, but screen shots will appear slightly different as we used CS3 to design the tutorials) or a copy of the free open source program GimpShop (google 'gimpshop' to find the download URL).
