Zephyr Pennell of Lone Star Ranch horses has just released a series of Arabians that have to be seen to be believed. If you are a fancier of Arabians, nothing else in Second Life will compare to the craftsmanship and artistry of these magnificent horses. She's got a series of five mares and five stallions. The mares are colors -- gray, white, bay, black and bay. Her stallions however are based on real life famous Arabians -- Marengo who was Napoleon's mount, Alexander the Great's Bucephalus, Shetan who all lovers of The Black Stallion movies will recognize, Sham who was the Godolphin Arabian and one of the three founders of all Thoroughbred horses and the subject of the beloved book King of the Wind. Only Suhayb, her red roan, who is textured to perfection isn't based on an actual horse.
These beauties are sculpted, and come with one in full native trappings and a bareback variety. Their manes and tails are gorgeously textured and shimmer like one would expect an Arabians to shimmer. One very nice touch is how their tails flag in galloping or flying...so very realistic. They also stamp their feet and kick, just like a mettlesome, high strung, hot blooded Arabian would do.
If you're a horse lover, I strongly urge you to check out these fantastic animals. You'll be doing yourself a disservice not to.
