I am very excited to announce the first glimpse of information regarding the next product line from TroubleMaker Approved.
Before i dive to deep into it let me go over the basics.
First this line has a specific target audience. This audience is anyone who loves fantasy. The Line will be called DragonTales.
This new line is a collectors set + pet + story in one. Confused yet? Don't worry i will explain.
This set is unlike any we have heard of or seen in SL. This set is not only a pet/attachment that you can show off to your friends and have fun with. It is also a collectible display set. Oh and it also is gonna all be based around a fantasy story with each new item in the series giving you a look into the fantasy world we have created!
First let me delve into the story. DragonTales takes place in a fantasy realm we have created. We will have the setting and a description of the "realm" available at launch to help you go deeper into our new world. Each item in the series will then have a short story (written and distributed on a thinc book) that gives you another look into the realm and gives you insight on the item you bought. Every so often we will compile all the books together so fans can pick it up and enjoy all the short stories.
Now lets look at the collectible display portion. When you by each item you will be given 3 things the book we talked about above the second item is a collectible display of the item you bought. These display will depict charectors and species from within the stories. these displays use holo technology to allow those that buy and collect them to set them out in there home, shop or where ever they would like. the base will be approximately 5 prims and when touched will res the item it belongs to for approximately 1 minute and then fall dormant again. each display will have a little plate on the front telling those that view them the name of what it will res. On the bottom of each display will be a little plate telling how many of the item where placed for sale and its rarity. There will be 5 different colored bases. Gold (1-4 sold no more then 5 made), Silver 5-9 sold (no more then 10 made) Black and White (Black for minions of evil and white for the forces of good these we will sell up to 29 of and no more then 30 will be made) and the last color is brown. the last will be for items that are regularly available for purchase. these will mostly consist of the different common races and species from the world where the rest will usually consist of rare races/species or specific charectors that impact the fantasy realm. These brown based sets will normally come with a book with information about the species rather then a story.
the last component planned when you purchase each item you will receive a wearable version. this will allow you to take your favorite where ever you go and show them off. These will include features such as chat relay particles and occasionally animation or sound. These pets will let collectors show off there friends anywhere as well as enjoy role playing through the chat relay letting them have there pet speak.
We are very excited about this new project. We have our first set expected to be released Aug 3! this is also the expected date of the store on the New Grim Babies sim. During this time we will be auctioning off a special dragon named "Azul the Last" this dragon will be the only one of it that is sold. there will only be one up for auction. We have 3 items currently made and scripted and are working hard on the stories to go with them for this release. We are also hoping to get 2 more finished by the 3rd so that we have a decent group to put out for the release of this line of products. Many more are sure to come.
