Talk to avatars without logging into Second Life
Feel like you're wasting hours in SL waiting for someone to show up? Maybe you're at work and your company's IT department won't let you access SL from behind the firewall in the first place. Would you like to be able to chat with friends even if you're not in-world?
InterSection Unlimited has created the ChatBridge SL-to-IM Gateway, a new, exciting, and innovative breakthrough that bridges the gap between Second Life and Real Life. Now you can maintain contact without being in-world.
Here's how it works: when someone in SL wants to talk to you when you're not in-world, they can talk to the ChatBridge, and an instant messaging window pops up, gives you the message, and allows you to have a conversation with the person in SL. And this is not the SL IM window we're talking about either. This is a traditional IM client. All this, and you don't have to log in to SL.
ChatBridge can also be added to custom objects.
If you have any questions, please IM Tria Boucher, or send e-mail to: schase@intersectionunlimited.com.
This version uses Jabber; buy now and upgrade to the MSN - Yahoo! - AIM - ICQ version free when it's released!
