Want your Second Life build to be real-world realistic? Creating a multi-story mall, club or store? Try the Temporal Gadgets Elevator System. The Elevator is built with shiny stainless steel texures, luxurious wood paneled interior, realistic sounds and is the easiest elevator system in Second Life to configure and install! You can have the entire system up and working in just a few minutes, because the elevator literally installs itself! When you give the build command, the Elevator will automatically rez and position its own elevator shafts, call buttons and automated door system!
Want to take a group of people to the same destination? Simple...just have them all right click and choose "Ride Elev" from the round menu, choose a destination from the menu, and you and three of your closest friends are on your way! Don't like our choice of textures for any part of the system? No worries, you can re-texture the entire system to fit your decor!
You won't have to create gaping holes in your build for a physical elevator to go between floors either, our system does not need a physical pathway to travel up and down through your build! Want to have your elevator service your six story building on the ground, and then go 600 meters to your skybox?...No problem, the Temporal Gadgets Elevator is perfect for that. And dont feel that you have to limit yourself to mundane heights like 600 meters...this system will work all the way up to 4096 meters high! Not only that, but you can turn the elevator to any angle that fits your build, and the shafts, doors and call buttons will be created to exactly line up with the elevators path and rotation!
Now, we know that when setting up a system that we can all occasionally make mistakes...so if you enter a floor elevation value incorrectly and need to fix it, we don't expect you to have to manually delete ten floors worth of call buttons, shafts and doors. The scripting wizards at Temporal Gadgets created a handly little Elevator System Clean Sweep Device 2.0. Just rez it out, within five meters of the elevator car, and touch it, and it will delete all rezzed parts of the system except the Temporal Elevator 2.0 (The elevator car Itself), then all you need to do is enter the values correctly and reset the elevator using a simple chat command. Then have the system rebuild the shafts, doors and call buttons and you are ready to go!
We provide the system in a 'copy/no transfer' version (so you can create multiple elevators in various builds) The system is also available in 5, 10, 15 or 25 maximum floor versions, so you only pay for the number of floors that you need!
The elevator can be set up using one of two set-up modes:
Relative floor spacing - If the height of each floor is uniformly spaced, you can have the system build an elevator landing based on the distance from the ground floor. You just need to choose the interval. You can even tell it to build the second floor at 14m (or any other number) above the first floor, and then every other floor at 10m intervals ...or whatever interval you wish.
OR you can use:
Absolute floor spacing - just determine the region elevation of each floor with our simple-to-use floor locator, and tell the elevator the exact elevation of each floor in relationship to the region. Either method works perfectly!
As stated above, the elevator shaft, call buttons and doors will be built and positioned automatically by the elevator car. The shaft rezzes out at 10 meters high, and is modifiable if your floor is not that high, just put the shaft into edit, and size it to fit! The door is sized to fit the opening in the shaft and the elevator car, and the call buttons display the floor number on it's surfaces.
Finally, what would be the point in making this elevator without doing the job properly? There's one thing that no elevator is complete without - elevator music! Don't worry though, if elevator music isn't your thing it can very easily be turned off!
